Minor Pentatonic

It´s structure is R b3 4 5 b7 If we are in A- then the A- Pentatonic Scale will be A C D E G. As you can see the notes are exactly the same than the C Major Pentatonic Scale but in a different "order" the Root ( R) It is now A so everything kind of gravitates towards that and that makes a huge different in how the melodies are being constructed.

Ok, ok but... How do I play it? We are gonna learn it in 5 different positions or boxes, same scale distributed along the fretboard. For each box we are gonna have a "Reference Chord" , a chord that is linked to that specific box.

Box 1

Scale

Reference Chord A-

The reference chord goes together with the box, each box covers a different area of the fretboard, it is still the same scale, the same 5 notes, crazy, right?

Box 2

Box 3

Box 4
